CHILDREN’S STORIES FROM IRELAND
My name is Grace Jolliffe I live on Galway bay on the Wild Atlantic Way, in Ireland. I am a writer and I’m passionate about encouraging children to enjoy reading.
STORIES FOR READING ALOUD
I used to write for children’s radio so you will find my stories are very easy for parents to read aloud. I believe that the best way to encourage reading is to make children look forward to it! A child who is dying to know ‘what happens next?’ is a child that will always love to read.
The following stories are from my series of stories set in a magical little town called Ballyyahoo. Click on any of the following links to find out more.

STORIES TO SHARE AND DISCUSS
From time to time all kids have to face difficulties. From the death of a loved one to bullying in school. Sometimes kids keep their problems a secret. Reading and sharing a story with your child can help bring up those difficult subjects and make it easier for them to confide in you with confidence.
The following stories each focus on a typical family problem and open up the door to discussing the problems naturally. Click each story title to learn more about the themes and problems explored.
